A unique and beautiful bracelet, made in 1850. The bracelet is made of braided gold (585 fineness) and the clasp is also gold (570). However, the frames protecting the small portrait are of base metal. It is covered in its entirety with high fineness gold. In the centerpiece there is a medallion containing a miniature portrait of a young girl. From the inside, there is a fantastically arranged glass case containing a lock of hair. The bracelet is a classic example of Biedermeier jewelry, characterized by its high precision of shapes, rich decoration, and splendid design. The massiveness of these products was balanced by small stones, or in the case of this piece, the delicately weaved gold. Although this style originated in Austria and the German principalities, it quickly gained popularity in other European countries. The portraits of beautiful Italian women were painted by Giuseppe Tominza (1790-1866), an outstanding Italian artist. This is a perfect example of such work. Amalia Tonello Cappeletti, portrayed by him in 1840, wears a similar jewel on her beautiful wrist. The bracelet is  an absolutely unique piece of jewelry with all of the trappings of a museum piece. It can be a complement or the beginning of a collection of Jewelry "with a soul" or simply a wonderful and very valuable decoration.
