Edwardian Brooch with Diamonds and Sapphires
Price range: (2 500 zł - 5 000 zł)
SOLD
This simple brooch, made at the beginning of the twentieth century, is decorated with three old mine cut diamonds and two Ceylon sapphires. The jewel was created in the Edwardian Age. During the reign of King Edward VII, the British Empire strengthened its power even more than in the Victorian period, and the jewelry made during this period highlighted the importance of its wearer. Of course, the dominant items were magnificent tiaras, necklaces, earrings, bracelets or brooches, but there was no shortage of subtle, delicate, symmetrical, classical jewels, as exemplified by the piece here described.
