Swallow Brooch with Pearls
Price range: (1 000 zł - 2 500 zł)
SOLD
A delicate, small brooch with a swallow motif decorated with tiny pearls. The themes of flora and fauna, realistically depicted birds, insects, snakes, flowers, leaves, ivy twigs or vines – spread in the middle of the 19th century after the 1851 London World Exhibition. These motifs were particularly beloved in a later era by the Art Nouveau movement. In addition, this subtle gem is given a unique character by the swallow, which is a symbol of good hope and a longing for freedom.
