A little blue jay sits at the end of a simple golden rod. Its diamond wings and pearl belly perfectly match the enamel of different shades of blue covering the head and tail of the Blue Jay (Cyanocitta cristata). This subtle piece was created at the beginning of the 20th century during the height of the Art Nouveau period, one of the dominant leitmotifs of which was plant and animal ornamentation.
