This pair of earrings is a classic design by Jean Schlumberger. On six strips of woven 18 carat gold, overlapping strips of platinum are placed in the form of x-strips in which small diamonds of ideal proportions are placed. A beautiful jewel designed by one of the best jewelry designers for an elegant lady.

Jean Schlumberger (1907 - 1987), a French jewelry designer, who in the post-war period began cooperation with a New York jewelry company Tiffany&Co.  In 1956, Walter Hoving, the director of the Tiffany&Co jewelry company, offered Schlumberger an opportunity to cooperate. From that moment on, the designer began his adventure with the beloved American brand Tiffany&Co. He quickly built up an impressive customer base, including Princess Windsor, Princess Kent, Princess Greta Garbo, Elizabeth Taylor and Audrey Hepburn, and was soon promoted to the position of Director. Schlumberger's designs were particularly popular with Jacqueline Kennedy, which caused the press to name some of the bracelet designs designed by the artist "Jackie bracelets". Schlumberger was the first jewelry designer to receive a prestigious Coty Award in 1958. The artist died in Paris at the age of 80, winning the National Order of Merit (Ordere national du Merite) from the French government three years prior.
