Tasteful set consisting of a brooch and earrings. Very simple earrings form two interconnected balls made of extremely beautiful black and white variety of agate called onyx. In the central part of the brooch is an agate cabochon decorated around four flowers lined with jewelry stones and four small pearl leaf compositions. The whole piece is framed in gold combined with silver. On the back of the brooch is an engraving, "George Poulett /29th Sept 1850.Aet 29". Interestingly there is also a small locket located on the back of the brooch (glass dome), in which we find a strand of hair.
