The Mogok Valley of Upper Myanmar has been the main source of rubies in the world for centuries. The most unique stones come from the deposits of this region, but these supplies have shrunk significantly in recent years. The piece presented here is a diamond encrusted ring with a rare ruby from this part of Burma. The very intense, deeply saturated red color of the corundum, matches the shiny perfection of the diamonds.
