A rare ring design styled in the form of an extremely light signet ring, characteristic of the Art Deco era. A small diamond is accompanied by diamond rosettes and small Verneuil rubies.
Auguste Victor Louis Verneuil (November 3, 1856 – April 27, 1913) French chemist best known for inventing the first commercially viable process to produce synthetic gemstones. In 1902, he discovered the "flame fusion" process, called the Verneuil process, which is still used today as a way to produce artificial corundum, rubies and sapphires.
