Decorated with diamond rosettes. On the back - intaglio - a horseback rider. Provenance: Owned by Prince Karl VIII Kinsky née Wchinitz and Tettau (1858-1919). The prince came from a well-known Czech-Austrian aristocratic family of great horse riding traditions. In 1883 Zoedone won the Grand National Race on his favorite horse. As a souvenir, he received this precious jewel. In addition to excellent riding skills, the prince was no less talented in the art of seduction, remaining in intimate relations with the extremely beautiful Lady Randolph Churchill - the mother of the later Prime Minister of Great Britain, Winston Churchill.
