Patek Philippe Watch, Pagoda
Price range: (> 50 000 zł)
This model was made in 1997 to celebrate the opening of the new Patek factory in Geneva. The watch is particularly rare, as the collection contained only 250 pieces. Its shape refers to the Japanese sacred building, the Pagoda, which, although built of wood, was constructed to withstand the frequent earthquakes that haunt this beautiful country. The Pagoda was inspired by a model called the Eiffel Tower produced in the 1940s.
About the brand: After Czapka split away from Patek in 1845, Antoni Patek married his daughter off to the thirty-year-old Frenchman Adrien Philippe. This talented watchmaker was also an inventor. He developed a movement mechanism with a crown instead of a key. The company has survived to this day with subsidiaries all over the world.
