Fred Joaillier
A French brand founded in Paris in 1936 by Fred Samuel, who was born in 1908 in Argentina. He was the son of French immigrants. In 1924, Samuel returned to France and, at the age of 28, opened his first jewelery shop in Paris. By the 1990s, he had become one of the top ten jewelers in the world, with 12 stores from Paris to Beverly Hills, New York and Houston to Monte Carlo, Cannes and Geneva. At the same time, he expanded into Asian markets and opened his first showroom in Tokyo. The company is also associated with cinema having branded a diamond and ruby necklace worn by Julia Roberts in the 1990 film "Pretty Woman", as well as jewelery worn by Caterine Murino in the 2006 film "Casino Royal".
