Enameled diamond ring

Price range: (> 50 000 zł)

An extremely delicate ring made of approx. 18k gold with old mine cut diamonds and decorated with black enamel. On the inside there is an engraving with a dedication. The engraved date suggests that the jewel was created in the Victorian period, characterized as it was by increasing wealth, prosperity and industrial development. Jewelry from this period can be divided into three periods: Romantic (1837-1855), Great (1856-1880) and Aesthetic (1880-1900). In the second half of the so-called Great Period, the most impressive preciosity inspired by the aesthetics of the Far East was created. Apart from diamonds, precious stones of dark, subdued colors and enamels of all shades were used for production. Thus, this piece is a typical Victorian product. Adding to the fact that the ring was on display at the Museum of the City of New York, we can say with certainty that it is a highly unique jewel, made to order.
