About the brand: After Czapek's separation from Patek in 1845, Antoni Patek became involved through the marriage of his daughter to Adrien Philippe, a thirty-year-old Frenchman. This talented watchmaker was also an inventor. He developed a winding mechanism with a crown – instead of a key that had been used until then. The company has survived to the present day with subsidiaries all over the world.
