The painting is a typical Dutch Baroque work expressing its passions through subdued colors and warm, harmonious composition. It will certainly be a decoration or a complement to already existing collections or the beginning of a new one. It can be recognized as an object of museum value. The signature placed in the left bottom of the painting: "Mo.F." The painting layer is well maintained, with few cavities. The wood panel bears traces of repair. In order to strengthen it, on the other side the joints were made with the use of the wedge method. The well selected frame bears traces of minor repairs.

About the artist: (1633 Emden-1686 Amsterdam) Dutch painter, landscape painter who lived and worked in the golden age of Baroque landscape painting. The artist was active at the time of such eminent painters as Rembrandt van Rijn, Jacob van Ruisdael and Jan Vermeer van Delft (1632 - 1675), of whom he was almost a peer. The artist's works adorned the most famous houses of Amsterdam, and can also be seen in many European museums, including in Warsaw.
